Description:Design, implement, and support Microsoft SQL server systems and company infrastructure platforms. Provide 3rd level support to other Network Operations staff and monitor systems stability and performance.

Duties:Systems Architecture Design
• Plan and evaluate system enhancements/additions
• Make recommendations based upon published standards, system utilization studies, or projected network growth
• Perform and/or verify on a consistent basis, all necessary administrative functions, including but not limited to; system monitoring, system security, intrusion detection, and system backups, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Evaluate new technologies; analyze and document findings
• Lead implementation of system upgrades and new technology installations
• Ensure that security procedures and policies are implemented and enforced
• Ensure that company standards and policies are reflected in all aspects of company infrastructure

Business Continuity
• Maintain the day-to-day functionality of the Microsoft SQL servers and systems infrastructure.
• Work, on-site, remotely, and at locations that house infrastructure to install, troubleshoot, and support all infrastructure needs
• Provide expertise in Microsoft SQL server problem identification. Resolve issues that are identified
• Recommend and design best-methods of infrastructure management to maximize uptime
• Design customer facing systems that are fault tolerant
• Implement new technologies that help business units achieve business objectives
• Work with outside agencies for installation and/or vendor problem resolution.

Customer Support
• Provide mentorship, training, and technical guidance to other IT associates
• Develop and promote Company standards, proper computer usage, and good business practices
• Assist with technical support desk functions as needed
• Create reports for management to facilitate decision making
• Develop and conduct technical presentations and computer training sessions
• Accurately track time for all activities in iSupport
• Provide a high quality customer support experience to our internal and external customers
Qualifications:• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Management Information Systems preferred. MSCE, MCSA, CCIE certifications strongly desired.
• 5+ years of experience which includes designing and implementing a Microsoft SQL infrastructure to stringent uptime guidelines.
• Expert understanding of Microsoft SQL architecture, network operating systems, security infrastructure, personal computer hardware and personal computer software.
• Experience with GreatPlains, Business Intelligence, SharePoint, and Citrix
• Requires the use of judgment to devise new or adapt existing methods, techniques and procedure to meet new or unusual requirements. Ability to make decisions guided by precedent and within the limits of established policies.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction as a resourceful, independent problem solver. Ability to take ownership of a project. Strongly motivated with a sense of urgency.
• Experience working effectively in cross functional teams
• Forward thinker and planner. Able to keep up with new technologies, make assumptions, and make recommendations that consider future needs of the organization
• Strong oral, listening, interpersonal and relationship building skills; able to work cross functionally with other departments. Strong customer service focus
• Thorough and well organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Able to meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects in a fast paced, changing environment
• Flexibility of work scheduling will include occasional extended night hours and regular on call periods
• Must own or obtain an email capable cell phone for “on call” purposes
